Brought out Pete and Jim on the Susky on Saturday morning. They were very new to fishing but they did good and they managed 26 smallies in the boat, not including the little dinks! They also got a Channel Cat and a Green Sunfish.

Sunday I brought out Bill and Mary on the Susky. Lots of action today. Had a few on that seemed stout but they got off before we could see them. 37 decent Smallmouth in the boat, plus a bunch of dinks, 3 green sunfish and 2 rock bass. Nice job on a hot summer day! Saturday consisted of a 2 boat charter with the help of Allan Casal! Kenny, John, Mathew, and Cameron caught them all day on Saturday. 6hrs of bassin and probably 2hrs of Catfish fishing! Both boats reported around 40 bass in the boat and some catfish as well! Mathew had a beautiful smallmouth get in a tree and break the line. I got a good look at that fish and it would have challenged the Lunker Leader for sure! Good job guys! Got to have a little fun for myself on the River today with my father in law! Topwater and spinnerbait smallies to 17" in the morning, jigging smallies in the afternoon, then some hard fighting cats in the afternoon! Boated a nice walleye too. Good times! I had the pleasure of taking Dan and Clem on the river today. We saw plenty of eagles today on the river. They boated 38 decent sized bass and lots of little dinks. There was also a green sunfish boated, along with a Rock Bass or two. We also spotted a BIG Palamino, in the river!? That was a first for me, LOL. Brought Micheal and Derek out on the Susky this past Saturday. We started late and missed that early morning bite but they still managed over 30 decent Smallmouth in the boat, not including the dinks. The weather was beautiful out there with a refreshing light breeze to cool us down a bit. Brought Stan out for some Panfish on Lake Winola today.....Oh boy the wind was a bugger...getting a good presentation was almost impossible using standard casting techniques so after fighting with the wind for a couple hours we switched tactics and trolled up about a 5 or 6 nice Crappie, a couple perch(1 keeper sized), and one small bluegill. Mother nature at her best!
Brought Bob and Larry out on Saturday for some smallmouth action! About 30 Smallies in the boat, no good ones though. Alot of dinks....we didn't count those, LOL. Larry also got ahold of a nice Channel Cat. Brought Bob and Greg out on the river today. 22smallmouth in the boat. Even the worst days of fishing on the Susquehanna are usually not too bad at all! Saw some Bald Eagles and Bob landed a nice 3.48lb smallmouth! Bob also landed a small but feisty Northern Pike. Brought Stan out today for a quick 4hr catfishing trip! 13 hard fighting cats in the boat! Nice jiob Stan! |
